Baptist on Mission
North Carolina Baptists on Mission (NCBM) which was formerly referred to as NC Baptist Men,
is an auxiliary to the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina that includes seventeen different ministries such as disaster relief, disaster recovery, medical missions, international missions, national missions, state missions and several others.
We believe that all Christians are called, gifted and sent. We desire to involve our church family, women, men, youth and children in missions and ministry in the name of Jesus Christ.
The vision of NCBM is “Every Christian sharing God’s love with hurting people through word and deed.” The church family at First Baptist Church of New Bern is quite active and has approximately 60 members certified with NCBM in the areas of mass feeding, recovery services, administration, and/or assessment services
Several of our members hold positions of leadership within the NC Baptist Men including three Blue Hats and a White Hat who serves as the Statewide Coordinator of Mass Feeding.
Some of the highlights from this ministry include:
-
Participation in Operation In As Much every other year
-
Handy Man Ministry that includes building wheelchair ramps, cleaning yards and small repairs in the community
-
Men’s First Light Breakfast
-
Baptist Men’s Day
-
