First Kids Children’s Ministry!”
Sunday School provides an opportunity for our children to learn about Christian values and beliefs, Christian living, discipleship, stewardship, and serving others. Excellent teachers aid children in Bible study that is designed to help them discover God’s truths.
Sunday School begins at 9:45 AM each Sunday morning and classes are offered for ages birth through the 6th grade.
Our Discipleship program is designed to teach children about Jesus and
to help them learn key passages and verses in the Bible.
We have childcare available for ages 2 and under while our 3s,4s, 5s, and Kindergartners join together to learn simple Bible concepts and lessons with hands-on activities and crafts. Music is incorporated into their learning with Preschool Choir from 6:00 PM -
6:15 PM on Wednesday nights. All of these classes are located in Building B.
Our children in first through sixth grade can choose which "pathway" or "session" they would like to attend. Examples are Sports & Games, Creative Arts (Music, Motions & Art), and STEM. Each of these classes include Scripture & Bible lessons geared towards the skill the children are learning while building a Christ-like character.
All Wednesday night preschool and children’s classes and activities begin at 5:45 PM and end at 6:55 PM
More than just a choir, it's fun! Preschoolers learn rhythm and music through various activities, games, and songs. Children focus on choir techniques while learning to listen to each other's voices and preparing songs to present in worship.
The Preschool Choir and Children's Ensemble participate frequently in our Sunday morning worship services throughout the year.
Preschool Choir meets at 6:00 pm with Ms. Yvonne Templeton.
Children's Ensemble (Creative Arts) meets at 6:20 pm with Reverend Templeton.
Vision Statement: To give preteens a place of their own where they can grow in their relationship
with Christ and with each other.
Preteen ministry is a special ministry just for our fifth and sixth graders – a bridge between Children’s ministry and Youth ministry. Preteens need a place where people understand their unique needs and cater ministry to their abilities. In our Preteen Ministry, we have the tremendous opportunity to lead kids in anticipation of the wonderful things God has in store for them while giving them a vision of how God can use them now. Students will grow in their relationship with Christ through customized programming with opportunities to ask questions and be challenged.
Our preteens meet weekly in Sunday School and on Wednesday nights. They also meet the last Sunday afternoon of each month for Bible study, fellowship, and games. Special activities and trips, specifically designed for this group, are planned on a regular basis. Activities include retreats, summer camps, and fellowship trips.
Preteens meet in the Route 56 room in the B Building. Sunday School is each Sunday morning at 9:45. Discipleship training is part of Wednesdays at First from 5:45 PM - 6:55 PM.
Preteens meet every fourth Sunday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the Family Life Center.
